25+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Ashby Therapy Solutions is the culmination of more than 25 years of experience in treating individuals with communication disorders, becoming a mom to children with neurodiversity, and a dream to help others live their best lives.

 

Our passion is for individuals with any type of communication challenge or neurodiversity to KNOW their worth, to know they are beautifully and wonderfully made, and to accept that all brains work differently. Our differences make the world more interesting!


We are a GROWING locally owned business with a dedicated team of licensed therapists who have a calling and passion for serving children and families. We have a specialized focus on pediatric speech and language disorders AND EXECUTIVE FUNCTION DISORDERS.

Ms. Tammy Ashby

M.S., CCC/SLP-L

Ms. Ashby is a highly skilled and compassionate speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. With over two decades of experience working primarily in the school setting, Tammy has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges that children with speech and language difficulties, face in their academic and social lives.


In the past few years, Tammy has become passionate about helping individuals with executive function deficits improve their communication skills and reach their full potential As a Mom to neurodiverse children, Tammy is passionate about her family and helping others. She understands the importance of effective communication in building strong relationships and achieving success in life. Her personal and professional experiences have given her a unique perspective that allows her to connect with her clients and their families on a deeper level.


Tammy's approach is highly individualized, as she understands that no two clients are exactly alike. She takes the time to get to know each client and their unique challenges, and works collaboratively with them and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs.


Tammy's expertise in executive function deficits allows her to target areas such as organization, planning, time management, problem-solving, emotional regulation and decision-making. She uses evidence-based techniques and strategies to help clients develop and strengthen these skills, which can have a significant impact on their academic, social, and professional lives.

In addition to her clinical work, Tammy is a dedicated advocate for individuals with communication disorders and executive function deficits. She is passionate about educating parents, teachers and employers about executive functions.

I have had the luxury to have worked with the BEST team of SLP’s and OT’s in my career and I am thrilled to say they are now part of Ashby Therapy Solutions. We are an energetic and fun group of therapists who love working collaboratively. We are committed to building authentic relationships with the clients we work with. Our goal is to design motivating and effective speech therapy sessions that you will look forward to each week!

Our team of therapists share my passion to help others reach their full potential. They participate in extensive continuing education each year to stay on the leading edge of evidence-base practice. We use a variety of approaches to address our clients' unique needs. We believe in using a holistic approach that addresses the underlying factors that may be contributing to the speech and language disorder and we work closely with families and caregivers to ensure that our treatment plans are comprehensive and effective.

Ms. Meredith Graham

SLP

Meredith loves seeing the look of awe and amazement on the faces of her students when they achieve a skill that they have been so working hard to complete. She claims it’s her favorite part of her job as a Speech-Language Pathologist for school-age children. When she's not at work, you will find Meredith cheering on her three kiddos at the ballpark, soccer field, basketball court, or dance studio.  When they can find the time, her and her family also love to travel and explore new places.

Jessica

Ms. Jessica Webber

SLP

Jessica Webber was born and raised in the state of Kansas where she received her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.  She is passionate about making speech therapy fun, effective and meaningful for all of her clients. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys soaking up time with family, reading and crafting!

Ms. Nicole Kneer

SLP

Nicole Kneer has been a speech-language pathologist since 1999 and has worked with Tammy for more than ten years. She enjoys reading, rollerblading and being outside with her family! She has worked in many settings, including adult skilled nursing facilities, early intervention in the home, private practice, but most of all - the schools!  Her passion is helping children and teens learn how to express themselves better and discover the right tools and strategies they need to succeed in life.

Sarah

Ms. Sarah Anderson

M.A.,CF-SLP

Sarah is an enthusiastic SLP who loves all things language, cognition, and voice. She has a special interest in gender-affirming voice services and is a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). Sarah received her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has lived in Urbana for 7 years with her partner, Danny, and their pet snake, Ollie.

Ms. Rebecca Sutterfield

M.S., CCC-SLP

Rebecca Sutterfield has been practicing for eight years as a school SLP. She earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish and has her bilingual SPED certification in Spanish, with a passion for working with multilingual students and families. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 1-year-old, as well as hiking, reading and baking.

Alexa

Ms. Alexa Hoffman

SLP

Alexa is a recent EIU graduate completing her clinical fellowship year. She has a strong passion for stuttering and cognitive-based therapies. She enjoys working with students of any age, and loves being able to tailor therapy to best support each individual she sees.

Dr. Heidi Ramrattan

Au.D., M.S. SLP

Heidi Ramrattan is an associate professor in the Communication Disorders & Sciences (CDS) Department. Dr. Ramrattan holds a Dr. of Audiology degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. in speech language pathology from Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Ramrattan worked as an audiologist for 5 years in private practice and educational settings before accepting a tenure-track position in CDS at EIU. Dr. Ramrattan helped establish a listening and spoken language preschool program at Illinois State University (ISU) and set up an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) protocol and provided hearing testing and identification of hearing loss for all districts within the heart of Illinois Low-Incidence Association (HlLIA). Dr. Ramrattan also provides testing (following a noise exposure testing criteria) for current active duty and veterans through a contract with Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI).

Heidi

Ms. Beth Bagby

SLP

Beth has practiced as Speech Language Pathologist for over 40 years. She enjoys working with young children with speech and language disorders. She loves to travel especially to Key West and spend time with her five grandchildren.
